Ex-Wrestling Champion Beell Shot During Marshfield Brewery Robbery
Fred Beell former world middleweight wrestling champion and Marshfield special officer was killed when he and Patrolman Fyksen interrupted a brewery robbery. Four bandits fled after taking $2500 in beer stamps from an open safe. Fyksen fired back and Beell was shot four times before the bandits escaped in Beell's car toward Highway 13.
