Funeral for Fred Springborn Held at Greenwood Chapel
Funeral services for Fred Springborn were conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock from Greenwood chapel with Rev. George Meier officiating. Pallbearers included Jack Smith George Neibert Wm Liebbe Andrew Fisher A Hank and Carl Thurman. Interment followed in Greenwood cemetery.

Republicans of Seventy Six Township Hold Meeting
Republicans of Seventy Six township met in Arden town hall at 7:30 p m yesterday. Committee member F A Runyon called the meeting to order with W H Neil as chairman and Runyon as secretary. Nominees for township officers included C F McCabe assessor and F A Runyon clerk. Trustees named were Wm Allbrecht Joseph Meeker and P M Brockhart. Delegates chosen were H W Vincent J T Downer and A D Timberlake to attend the county convention after the primary.
Pioneer E F Brockway Laid to Rest at Grandview
The funeral of Hon E F Brockway was held at the Letts home and Grandview cemetery in Louisa county Iowa. He was born April 28 1834 in Brockwayville Pennsylvania and moved to Iowa in 1842. He served in the 1873 legislature and on the state board of agriculture and was a lifelong temperance advocate.
