Murray merchants announce Christmas prizes and activities arranged by the Greater Murray League. Mayor Lester will coordinate White Way celebrations tied to Christmas offerings while lighting fixtures shipments proceed. Details will be announced after a meeting as December promotions aim to boost local shopping in Murray.
The Selectbors of Woodcraft Craven Circle No. 101 Murray hosted a Tuesday evening gathering after lodge at Fraternal Hall in honor of Mrs. Mary Anne Jensen. She received a buffet mirror as a gift, a supper was served, and attendees enjoyed a cordial social time strengthening community ties.
Murray High School presents a three act comedy Seven Chances by Kingdon Cooper Me rrie, staged under David Belasco supervision at the George M Colum Theatre New York. At the Vine Street residence of A O Cooper a lively social gathering celebrated Clarence J Rockwood and Vesta Fyre, with over a hundred guests from Granite Furniture of Sugar House. The couple Regency to wed in December, hosted by J A Rockwood, Granite group general manager and father of the groom, aided by Mr and Mrs Cooper.
Engineering department has been busy with paving State Street leaving delinquent water assessments neglected. Mr McDonald plans to focus on delinquent assessments and will turn off water if unpaid, with extra costs to restart service. A Tuesday November 22 blaze on Third Avenue in a rooming house owned by Mrs Burke claimed the life of Gene Burke eight. Her sister Helen escaped through a window and called for help as neighbors alerted the fire department. Firefighters battled deadly smoke and extinguished the fire fifteen minutes after arrival. damage estimated at about two hundred dollars.

An officers and teachers social at the Ward recreation hall was a success with marches and stunts, a luncheon, and dancing. MIA Chorus reversals for Christmas program scheduled next Sunday from 12 to 1 in the recreation hall. all chorus members must attend or provide an excuse.

Friends of Mr. Win Morton of Rust 45th South report his lengthy ordeal from an icy fall in Salt Lake eight years ago. He endured hospital stays, surgeries, and bone removal before receiving a steel braced leather cast that stabilizes the upper arm, offering hopes of full use despite a bone shortfall of about five inches.
Kenry D. Moyle was named president of the Cottonwood stake at the quarterly conference, with A. G. Miller to succeed him as presiding authority. Ralph Colter and WT Grant Ivins were set apart as first and second counselors to President Moyle. William J. Erekeen and Hyrum Betiilon Jr retained roles as stake high councilors and the stake clerk position remained.
