New Murray Church to be Dedicated May 30 8 PM
The new Murray Church of St. Vincent de Paul will dedicate its cornerstone ceremony on May 30 at 8 PM led by Rev. John J. Mitty with clergy and parishioners from Murray Midvale Salt Lake City and district. A diocesan guard of honor and a cathedral choir will participate. Archbishop Mitty makes first visit to Murray. The church, built on Wasatch Avenue, seats about 250 and cost around 12000. construction began April 4 and should be complete by July 1. Masses were held in public halls before.

Decoration Day Parade in Murray City Plans
Murray City to hold Decoration Day with a parade from Vine and State streets and a cemetery ceremony, concluding by noon. Bishop John J. Mitty of Salt Lake City to attend the corner stone laying at Church of St. Vincent de Paul on Wasatch Avenue at 3 pm. Parade marshal will ride a horse, with a large civic and fraternal turnout and a committee coordinating services and flags.
