The Murray High School Opelle tta with 35 members competes against state high schools and has won four times. This year the group earned the right to represent Utah for class B in the National Contest to be held locally. Most instruments are privately owned, with a large share of work done outside school hours. A survey shows private instrument value around 2215 dollars while school-owned instruments amount to about 500 dollars.

Second Annual Spring Show Draws Over 1000 Visitors
The second annual spring lower show sponsored by the Jay Flower Garden Club and First National Bank drew more than one thousand visitors Saturday. Dr E A Tripp and Thomas G Harrison of Salt Lake acted as judges. Prizes were awarded for Darwin Cottage tulips and other varieties, with numerous individuals named as prizewinners.

Weed Eradication Experiments in 1928 Salt Lake County
Report details 1928 weed control trials conducted by Utah officials in Salt Lake County. Tests on Wild Morning Glory included two fields at State highway east of Salt Lake Shops and on A J Schulsen property near Red Wool Road.
