Murray High Students Win Many Honors
Murray High School earned multiple honors on High School Day at the University of Utah. The Murray High Orchestra won first place in a statewide contest for over 500 pupils, marking their fourth straight win. Glen Shaw took third in the cornet contest, Frank Thone third in saxophone, and Lester won first in the table race.

Joshua MineKay and daughters attended Taylorsville Graduation Exercises Wednesday. Snare family from Provo and nearby areas visited Murray for their father Barton Snarr’s heart-disease funeral. Parley Bennion arrived from Cokeville on a ranch visit to Taylorsville. Ada Coppin, now in Eastlake, heads to Denver in June for the Netherlands Mission accompanying her son. Grant Ward Religion Class officers and teachers enjoyed an afternoon matinee at the Playhouse with Mrs. White, Mrs. Sunderrum, Mrs. Stone, Mrs. Hayden, Mrs. Beckstrum, Mrs. Kemp, Mrs. Leading, Mrs. Farrer, Miss Malstrom, Miss Ratenma, and Miss Jacobsen. Mrs. Mary Farrer attended as a special guest.
