On Wednesday morning officers found about 50 packages of tobacco 10 pairs of pants 10 pairs of shoes and assorted dry goods. The items were believed stolen from a box car at Van Buren or possibly earlier in the city. Three boys were taken to Van Buren for trial while Tom and Henry Finch were jailed in Sualli Sawili and will be tried tomorrow on receiving stolen property charges.

Cottonwood postmaster T. Hi Thomas died last Saturday at ten oclock from heart trouble and pneumonia. Burial was Sunday at the Lee graveyard conducted by Rev. E. V. Dowell. He was well known to readers as cottonwood postmaster for four or five years. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
