Funerals for Elmer Fritsch Service Held in Illinois

Elmer Richard Fritsch, 44, of La Grange Illinois died Friday in Bellwood Illinois. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel with Rev. Robert Foelber officiating and burial in Oakwood Cemetery. He was born March 11 1908 in Okarche Oklahoma to Andrew and Matilda Ahle Geld Fritsch and was a World War II veteran with the 101st Airborne Division. He is survived by two brothers Walter of Gibson City and Clarence of Brookfield.

Father of Mrs. E. F. Brooks Dies

John Van Schaick of Zeigler, father of Mrs. E. F. Brooks, died at 62 after residing in Mt. Vernon recently. Funeral services were in Zeigler, with burial in Spring Valley on Tuesday. Survived by wife, two daughters including Mrs. Brooks, Norma Van Schaick, and two granddaughters.

Illegal Sale of Alcohol Charged

M. C. Moore, colored, was arrested by Mt. Vernon police yesterday afternoon on a charge of selling alcoholic beverages without a license. Arraigned before Magistrate W. O. Page this morning, Moore pleaded innocent. He was returned to jail for failure to post bond.
