Funeral 2 p m Saturday at Paradise Baptist Church with Brother Byron Bullock officiating. Burial in Thomason Cemetery. He was born July 24 1907 at Wayne City to Casper and Missouri Esmon Peyton. Survived by wife Ruth Bushong two sons Ted of Elgin and Joe of Springfield three daughters Eleanor Smith Patsy Edmison and Wanda Faye Roberts a sister Rose Anderson 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

School Buses Collide in Worth Injuring Twenty
In Worth Illinois two school buses collided at an intersection injuring 20 people including 16 children and four adults with minor injuries. The Southwest Christian Elementary bus struck the Chicago Christian High School bus, which then hit a stopped car. A Worth girl walking to school and a driver and her daughter in the car were hurt. Grace Goudzwaard 36, bus driver, was cited for defective brakes and speeding.

Western New York gas station protests planned
A spokesman for the Missouri dealers association notes price hikes. About half of western New York State gas stations were set to shut down from Friday noon to Monday morning. Greg Amato of United Gas Dealers of Western New York said 200 members could be joined by 200 to 300 nonmembers in the action. He said operators face doom without relief. Michigan dealers also postponed protests pending amended pricing regulations from the Cost of Living Council.
