William Fremont Robertson 53 of 249 South 15th street died Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Funeral services set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pulley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ace Summers officiating. Burial in East Hickory Hill Cemetery. Calling after 4 p.m. today at Pulley. He was a construction welder for Mathews Trucking Service. Born July 16 1912 in Desoto Illinois he was the son of LeRoy and Flora Robertson. Survivors include his mother two daughters Billie Irene and Versie Belle both of California and a brother Claude of Bluford. He was preceded by his father and two brothers.

A fire and series of explosions on a ethylene laden barge halted Mississippi River traffic near Caruthersville Missouri.
