Rites Today for Willis A. Hughes
Funeral services for Willis A. Hughes 76 were held at Pulley Funeral Home with Rev. P D Tittle officiating. Burial followed at Valhalla Memorial cemetery in Alton with a graveside service at 3 00 p m. He lived with son Ollie at 229 Opdyke Avenue and was born August 17 1872 in Frisco Franklin County. Surviving: two sons Ollie Mt Vernon Pearl Alton a daughter Stella Hutchison St Louis a half sister Ruey Broadback Washington nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was married in 1893 to Mary King who preceded him in death June 23 1947. He belonged to the Christian church at McLeansboro.
