Mrs Anna Gull Waugh 63 wife of Fred Waugh died in Washington DC Thursday. Her funeral and burial were set for today at 10 a.m. in Washington. Former Mt Vernon residents the Waughs left Mt Vernon 18 years ago and lived in the east since, save 19 months during the war when they returned to Mt Vernon. She is survived by husband two sons Fred Jr and Perry a daughter Mrs Dorothy Henry of Washington three sisters Mrs Minnie Coleman Balsover Mt Vernon Mrs Alma McIntosh of Bringfield and Mrs Lela Moore of East St Louis one brother Carlos Guill of Metropolis five grandchildren.

Arthur J Connaway died at his home near Texico Saturday afternoon at 3 35. He was 71 years, ten months and seventeen days old. Born June 1 1886 in Texico he was a farmer and former employee of Hawkins Millionaire Hen plant in Mt Vernon. He married Mary L Giddings in 1907 and is survived by his wife, two sons Clark Connaway Momence Illinois and Ches ich ter Connaway Mt Morris, two daughters Mrs Jistina Mansell East Moline and Mrs Florence Tweed ix, two brothers Lee away Bluford and two sisters Mrs Alice McMeen Ea ka Ill and Mrs Ella Alvis ix. He had two grandchildren and four sons and a daughter preceded him. Funeral services were held at Dix Christian Church at p.m. today with Rev Vernell Gar officiating and burial in Grove cemetery.
