She was born November 21 1875 in Jefferson County and had lived there all her life. Surviving are son Ray Thompson Mt Vernon daughter Grace Friedmar Mt Vernon three granddaughters and brother William Skidmore St Louis.

A 10 year old Diane Pifer of 812 Taylor was found unconscious at 2 30 this morning at the foot of her bed after a fall. Mt Vernon firemen used an inhalator to revive her and she was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital in good condition with a slight head bruise and no serious injuries.

One Injured Three Accidents In Mt Vernon Area
One person was injured as three accidents occurred on highways around Mt. Vernon during last night’s rainstorm. Mrs. Grover C. Johnson, 59, of St. Louis, was hurt when her husband’s car was struck by a truck on U S Route 160 near Mt. Vernon. She was treated at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and released. A second collision on State Route 37 south of Mt. Vernon injured no one. A truck went into a ditch on State Route 37 north of Mt. Vernon. the driver Charles J. Miller, 42, of Hartford, Illinois, was uninjured. County officers investigated all three incidents.
