Five colored men were fined by Magistrate W. O. Page in Mt. Vernon police court for shooting craps after Eugene Rollins, city policeman, raided a room known as Osie's Alley in south town. Fines ranged from 30.40 to 55.40 dollars. Jim Stokes, a high school student, received only court costs.
