Three Injured In Mt. Vernon Weekend Accidents
In Mt. Vernon area over the weekend three persons were injured in four accidents. Sandra Kay Russell, 18, Route 7, was hurt when her Volkswagen overturned near the Mt. Vernon Airport and was hospitalized in satisfactory condition. E H Wright 59 Brownsville Tenn and his wife Thelma 57 were injured in a crash on Route 37 near the Davis Highway. Wright was not seriously hurt but treated at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Two non injury crashes occurred nearby involving E L Brown and Homer A Baker and later James L Wayland and Pearl D Plank with police reporting an illegal left turn by Wayland.
