Rose Ann Melton of 400 Harrison died at 4 45 p m at Washington Springs Nursing Home in Okanville at age 88 nine months and five days. Funeral services 1 30 p m Thursday at Myers Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. She lies in state after 4 00 p m Wednesday at Myers Chapel. Born December 14 1877 in Jefferson County she married Henry G Melton November 5 1896 in Opdyke. He died March 7 1937. Survived by son Claud and daughters Cecile Farlow Wessie Norris and Maxine Wilson, plus eleven grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Member Epworth Methodist Church.
