Death of Waltonville resident George W. Wright at 79
Funeral services set for Monday at 2:00 p m at Waltonville Methodist Church with Rev. Urhl Gulley officiating burial in Hickory Hill cemetery. Wright, a Spanish American War veteran and retired cement worker, died Wednesday at Elgin Veterans Hospital after a month’s illness. He was born August 19 1873 in Jefferson County and survived by his wife Anna Beckham Wright, one son Lloyd Wright of Aurora, Ill, four daughters Irvin Beadle Opal Taylor and Ralph Ewing of Aurora and Clyde Hester of Decatur, a brother O W Wright of Centralia, six sisters and ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
