Ulyssus Samuel Barton retired farmer died at 2:30 am at his home north of Waltonville. He was born January 7 1873 in Warren County and married Zadie Wilder. Surviving: wife, two sons Norbert and Cyril, two daughters Neda Lenington and Florence Edwards, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral 2 pm Wednesday at Lone Prairie Christian Church with burial at Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Four Escaped Mental Patients Back In Asylum
Four inmates escaped Beatty Memorial Hospital in Michigan City area using a milk truck. After threatening attendants in Westville, three were captured Monday night in Long Beach and a fourth, William Thompson, 38, turned himself in this morning guiding police to the cache of kitchen knives. Gerald Jessup, 17, was first captured Monday night, followed by John Clark and Charles Nadal. Nadal remained armed with a long butcher knife and a rock in a sock.
