Benjamin Henry Hall a former Mt. Vernon resident died yesterday in Pekin Illinois. He was the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. C. C. Hall whose father once led the First Methodist church in Mt. Vernon and held Methodist conference offices. Funeral rites are set for Pekin Thursday afternoon. Hall belonged to Mt. Vernon Lodge No. 31 A F and A M and rose to exalted status in H W Hubbard Chapter, later Andrew D. Webb Chapter No. 16 Royal Arch. He was Past Grand High Priest of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Illinois and a member of the Sons of Nobility Cross of Honor of Illinois No. 11. He was brother of John Hall of Evansville Indiana and formerly tied to Mt. Vernon football.
