Marriage of Gladys Pilger to Lyle Estes announced
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd E. Pilger of Warren Illinois announce the marriage of their daughter Gladys Pearl Pilger to Lyle W. Estes son of the late Mr and Mrs Frank J Estes of this city. The ceremony took place at the bride’s home. Pilger trained as an X ray and medical laboratory technologist and served in the U S Army Nurse Corps with a Fifth Army evacuation hospital in the Mediterranean theater. Estes is a graduate of Indiana University School of Business and Commerce, served five years in the army including overseas duty with the Fifth Army Transportation Corps as Battalion Commander, and is secretary treasurer of the Houston Motor Co in Venango Pa. He spent ten months in Korea as a government civilian employee in 1948.
