Brenda Sue Henson was stillborn Saturday evening at St Marys Hospital in Centralia. Daughter of Stanley and Glenda Henson of Odin, she leaves a sister Michelle and four grandparents John and Bernice Henson plus Stuart Starrett and Vaccie Reed of Centralia. Graveside services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ashley cemetery officiated by Rev. Robert Steinnetz. Friends may call Hogan Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Strikes Are Over All Illinois Teachers Back In Classroom

The Niles Township Board of Education and teachers ended a walkout with a three year contract approved 247 to 25. About 475 teachers across Skokie Morton Grove Niles and Lincolnwood will attend workshops as classes resume for nearly 8000 students. The deal includes a 5 percent raise this year and 41/2 percent raises in the next two years along with a grievance right regarding dismissal or evaluation letters.

Hilliard and Downey will take on Kiwanis roles October 1 as Mt Vernon Kiwanis elects new leaders.
