World Series radio and television rights have been assigned to MBS for 1949 with most details still to be resolved especially TV. About 600 radio stations will carry the link, while cable advances allow wide TV reach. SPRINGFIELD HL Sept. 9 A former Republican precinct committeeman fired from a state job denied today that he took an active part in politics Ear Ingles of Industry fired June 31 as a communicable disease investigator in the State Health Department appealed to the Illinois Civil Service Commission to put him back on the payroll The complaint against Ingles was filed by Dr Roland R Cross state health director under Gov Adlai Stevenson Cross cited participation in politics a violation of civil service rules as the reason for Ingles dismissal After hearing Ingles and several witnesses the commission took the case under advisement Ingles hired May 9 1947 Reelected precinct committeeman in 1948 but resigned October Ingles said he is not now connected with any political party and was not active in politics as a committeeman
