Man Arrested On Rape and Aggravated Kidnapping Charges
County sheriff deputies arrested Walter Clausell a 54 year old Mt Vernon man on a warrant charging rape and aggravated kidnapping. Kidnapped Girl Found in Vancouver Area Shaft
Police recovered a severely weakened but mentally stable girl from a seven foot deep basement shaft beneath a camper builder’s home in a Vancouver suburb. The man, her suspected captor and common law husband, was restrained as officers broke into the garage and later emerged from the shaft. The room contained a bed wash basin toilet and heater and had been hidden behind a soundproof door.
