J Frank Harris Funeral Friday

Funeral services for James Franklin Harris of 901 South Fi 20th street will be held Friday at 2 30 p m at the Central Church of Christ with burial in Oakwood cemetery. The Rev Edwin Hayden will officiate and friends may call at Pulley Funeral Home after 6 p m today. The body will be taken to the family home at 1 p m Thursday for calling until the funeral. Harris was a service manager at Davidson Chevrolet Motor Co and an active church worker. He served as deacon for 15 years and led the Men’s Class for eight years. He helped lead the Big Brother movement started in Mt Vernon. He was born January 17 1891 in Hamilton Nebraska. He married Alice Isabelle Morgan on March 14 1914 in Mt Vernon. Surviving are his wife two daughters Wanda Ancona and Pauline Mace five sons James Waldo Harris Wayne Dean Harris Lloyd Harris and Dwain Harris two brothers George and Cyril Harris and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
