Arrest Youths For Auto Theft After A Chase
A two hour pursuit in south Mt Vernon led to the arrest of two youths on car theft charges in Clinton county and burglary suspicion in Washington county. David Leroy Godell 18 of Greenville Illinois Route 4 and Danny Paul Farley 19 of Granite City were jailed. Authorities found the stolen car abandoned by Sheriff Dewey Barton and pursued suspects to a house from which they fled but were captured two hours later. Clinton county authorities joined in the case.
