Norman Evrard 45 was found dead at his Keenes home Tuesday morning from an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Richardson Chapel Wayne City with burial in the American Legion Addition Thomas cemetery and Wayne City Post graveside rites. Evrard born June 13 1919 in Bowen Missouri, survived by a daughter Ann and several siblings. He was a World War II veteran.

BERWYN Ill AP an explosion rocked Richards Lounge Tuesday night bringing to 74 the number of restaurant bombings and arsons in the Chicago area during the past 24 years. James McMahon director of public safety said the blast was caused by two sticks of dynamite tossed onto the rear of the roof. He estimated damage at 1000 dollars. A kitchen helper was slightly injured. The bomb tore a two foot hole in the roof. Police said about 80 customers and 35 employees were in the restaurant when the bomb exploded but the dining area was not disturbed. There was no fire. The lounge owner Joseph Wilkes is part owner of two other lounges burned by arsonists earlier this year, police said. Richard's Lilac Lounge in Hillside was destroyed May 26, and Lulu-Belle's sustained damages of 3000 dollars Aug 16. Lulu-Belle's, across the street from the Lilac Lounge, had been opened temporarily by Wilkes while the Lilac Lounge was being remodeled.
