Across Jefferson county over the weekend and this morning eight people were injured in multiple vehicle crashes. Early today Floyd Loss 23 of Mt. Vernon area was hospitalized after a single car crash on U S Route 460 and 22 year old James Temenhoff was released after treatment. Lula Karn 55 of Belle Rive was hurt in an east of Marlow collision as her car collided with Virgil Buchanan 69 of Route 7. Ina Bean 76 of Bonnie was admitted after a crash near Nas an Saturday night. Linda Pickett 16 of Route 1 Bonnie Ina Bean 76 and several others were treated. Bren da Pickett 11 Jerald Pickett 10 and John Frick 77 were also injured. William Hanes 19 of Route 6 was hurt on Tolle Road northeast of Mt. Vernon in a collision with James Blankenship 78 of Route 4 Tuka. Hanes was hospitalized.

Burglary Report: Vacant House Near Opdyke
A break-in at an unoccupied home about two miles northeast of Opdyke was reported to the sheriff's office Saturday. Thieves removed a wall cabinet and stole light fixtures blinds curtains and a rug. The owner is Tony Burnette, according to officers.
