Galveston A Reynolds 82 of 520 south 18th street died at 3 30 p m Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness He was a longtime Jefferson county teacher and a Waltonville mail carrier before retiring 20 years ago Funeral services will be at First Methodist church Mt Vernon at 2 00 p m Saturday with Dr Don Crocker and Rev Everett Lemay officiating Burial in Memorial Gardens Friends may call at Myers Chapel after 1 00 p m today The body will be moved at noon Saturday to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour He was born January 11 1881 near Wayne City married Maggie B Nowland June 10 1908 in Mt Vernon She survives He was a member of Waltonville Methodist church and later First Methodist Mt Vernon Also a Modern Woodmen member He is survived by his wife three daughters Pearl Henry Stanton Bean and Vernon French two sons Ernest Reynolds and Amos Reynolds a twin brother Austin Reynolds a sister Anna Johnson five grandchildren and five great grandchildren He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers.

He served in World War II with Company C, 128th Infantry, 32nd Division, earning three Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He was born December 10, 1915, in Bonnie, son of Fred and Pansy Hoga. Survived by his mother, a brother, and two sisters.
