Death of Edward Throgmorton Aged 48 in Mt Vernon

Edward Throgmorton of RFD 1 Mt Vernon died at 7 00 pm Tuesday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital aged 48 years nine months and 12 days. Burial will be in Bethel Memorial cemetery. He was born August 19 1912 in Mt Vernon son of Reed and Wilma Throgmorton. Survived by Lois Sechrest his wife, his father Reed Throgmorton of Kansas City Mo, two sons Edward Eugene and Stephen Duane, a daughter Patricia Graham, two brothers Virgil and John, four sisters Verla Vallowe Doris Cole Maxine Rogers Evelyn Tracy, and one granddaughter.

Coffman Rites Set in Ina for World War I Vet

Charles Woodrow Coffman, 49, of St Louis and former Ina resident, dies in a St Louis hospital. Funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Missionary Baptist Church Ina with Rev John Maulding officiating. Burial in Kirk Cemetery. Body lies in state at Yna Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today. Survivors include five brothers Frank Wayne Coffman Ina Larry Coffman Mt Vernon Lowell Coffman Beall Texas Leland Coffman Gardenia Gal and a sister Miss Pauline Coffman Ina. Coffman was a World War I veteran.

A Christian Science service for William A. Young was held at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel with Mrs. Edmund Hais as reader. Burial followed in Oakwood cemetery. Young, 59, of 407 South Path Street, died at 7:00 a.m. Monday at the Triangle Inn, west of Ashley, which he owned. Born March 15, 1902 in Kitson county Minnesota, he married Dorothy Speck January 4, 1924 in Stillwater. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Legion of the Moose, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth Norton, a former Mt. Vernon resident, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove cemetery with Rev. Herbert J. Wilson officiating. Norton, of Danville, Illinois, died Monday in that city. She was born January 11, 1900, in Mt. Vernon, daughter of Joe and Theodosia McMeen. She married Clarence Norton, who survives, along with a son Edward Norton of Arizona, two sisters Iva Bundy of Mt. Vernon and Ruby Daney of West Frankfort, and one grandchild.

EAST ST. LOUIS ILL AP The old Parks Metropolitan Airport south of East St. Louis will reopen as a field for executive aircraft within months. Local Dentist Shoots Prowler After Peeping Incident
