Born August 5, 1875 in Casner township to Franklin P. and Amanda Pitchford Champ. He married Edna E. Carson who died May 4, 1959. Survivors include sister Grace L. Champ Flint Michigan. brothers Charles F. Champ Flint Michigan E C Champ Woodlawn and George G. Champ Mt Vernon.
