ANNA, Il. James Tucker 24 of Jonesboro died Thursday night in a traffic accident on U.S. 51 near Anna in Union County. Police said Tucker was a passenger in a car attempting a left turn while being overtaken by another vehicle. Two other persons were injured, one seriously.

The Otterbein United Methodist church at Poplar and South Avenue Bluford hosts open house Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Formed in 1972 by merging Bluford and Oak Dale United Methodist churches, the three acre site was bought from Dorothy Woodworth of Mt.
