Graveside rites for Mrs. Francis Dees at Knob Prairie
Graveside services were held at Knob Prairie cemetery Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Francis Dees 72 who died Saturday at her Sidney home. She was the wife of Rev. Jesse Dees, a former Waltonville resident. Survived by four sons Jesse Jr. of Daytona Beach Sherwood of Dixon Lloyd of Burlington and David at home, and daughter Mrs Clarence Foster of Champaign II. Mrs Dees Sunday school class from Sidney attended the graveside service.

U S Fires New Atomic Weapons in Europe
The U S Army announced in Grafenwoehr Germany that it fired its 208mm atomic cannon and Honest John rocket for the first time in Europe during a two day firepower exercise by the 7th Army.
