Funeral for Lena Caraker Held in Savannah
Mrs. Lena Julia Caraker 74 mother of Rev. Andrew Caraker of Mt. Vernon died yesterday at her Savannah home after a long illness. Dr. John S. Wilder and Rev. Joseph L. Griffin will conduct the funeral at the family residence Friday at 4 p.m. Survivors include sons L. E. Caraker Jr of Jacksonville, Fla. J. Walter Caraker of Savannah and Andrew Caraker of Mt. Vernon.

Florida Names Collins Governor Victory in Democratic Runoff
Florida voters in the Democratic runoff chose LeRoy Collins over Acting Gov Charley Johns by about 67 000 votes, yielding Collins the two year unexpired term of the late Gov Dan McCarty.
