Three people were injured Sunday morning when a car skidded on state route 37 south of Mt. Vernon and struck a tree. Injured were James M. Collver 23 of Coldwater Michigan his wife Laurel 22 and her brother Lon Gottschalk 20 of Elmhurst Illinois. The Collvers were in good condition at Good Samaritan Hospital. Gottschalk was released after minor injuries. Officers said rain caused a puddle that led to the accident.
