Memorial Day Services At Richardson Hill Cemetery
A Memorial Day service will be held at Richardson Hill Cemetery two miles south of Dahlgren on May 30 at 2 00 PM. The program includes patriotic songs a memorial prayer address and vocal and instrumental music. Trustees will hold a meeting and elect officers after the program. Tom Devers is employed as caretaker and the cemetery will be cleaned and graves sunken by May 30. Donations fund summer mowing by families of those buried on the Hill. Send gifts to Jennie Cross Miller secretary treasurer of the association in Dahlgren. donors receive receipts. Beware unauthorized collectors. verify with cemetery officials before paying.

Twin Sisters Undergo Kidney Transplant in Boston
In a first involving women, 21-year-old twins Wanda Foster of Chandler Oklahoma and Edith Helm of Sand Springs Oklahoma received a kidney transplant at Peter Bent Bringham Hospital. Foster donated a kidney to Helm, who suffers glomerulonephritis. The operation lasted 4 1/2 hours and left Helm with three kidneys temporarily. Doctors noted the twins are identical and that the transplanted organ can survive only in an identical twin. Both women weigh under 100 pounds and the surgical team had previously performed the operation on twin men. The sisters faced the risks with courage and optimism to save Helm’s life.
