Florence Mertick a former Mt Vernon resident died yesterday at a Belleville nursing home at age 60. She was the daughter of Flex and Natie Yearwood and widow of Pal Mertick. Survived by her father in East St Louis and a sister Mrs Lester. Services Thursday at 12 30 p m in Belleville and burial in Oakwood Mt Vernon.
