Member of First Christian Church in Lesser. Cairo Police Chief Bill Bowers identified Gerald Clark 42 Albert Phillips 23 and a 15 year old as Booneville Ark residents connected to the Rye's Jewelry Store robbery. They allegedly entered the shop with a pistol wore womens clothing with a frosted wig. They fled in a white pickup after locking the employer in the back room and stealing money and rare coins. a .38 pistol and a money box were found in the truck. The trio were brought to Cairo for arraignment on armed robbery charges.

Teachers Plan Strategy For Negotiations In Southern Illinois
Teachers negotiators and leaders from the Southern 45 counties met at Salem to plan for annual summer negotiation sessions in local districts. The regional group formed last year includes about 100 local associations.
