He was born in Wayne county to Squire and Nancy Davis and was a member of Wayne City Christian church. Funeral Friday at 2 p.m. at Salem church southwest of Keenes, Rev. Bird Green officiating. Burial at Salem church cemetery. body lies in state at Richardson Chapel Wayne City. Survived by son Adron Davis of Chicago, daughter Mrs. Noma Phelps of Champaign, one granddaughter, and brother D. B. Davis of Mt. Vernon.

Emory Williams aged 90 died Wednesday at his home near Carlinville after years on a farm near Opdyke. He leaves two sons and three daughters plus his widow Lucy Esmon of Jefferson County. One daughter and a son killed in World War II preceded him. The funeral is set for 10 a.m. in Carlinville and burial will be in Opdyke cemetery tomorrow afternoon.
