Residents of Mt Vernon and Jefferson county will receive Buddy Poppies on Saturday May 26 as volunteer workers from Wm Merritt Moss Post Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Ladies Auxiliary distribute the emblem. Proceeds support disabled veterans and the VFW National Home for orphans and widows. no fixed sum is asked, wear a poppy to show remembrance.
