Rural firemen were summoned to Bill Walters residence at 302 South 27th Street after a fireplace glow led a neighbor to fear a blaze. City crews responded to the new Good Samaritan Hospital where smoke was reported from a chimney but firefighters later found only an incinerator burning waste at the newly opened hospital.
