Mrs Golden Elberth 72 of Calumet City died yesterday morning in hospital. She was born April 12 1904 to Edward and Eva Roberson. Funeral services set for 2 p m Saturday at Brayfield Funeral Home with Reverend Gulley officiating. Burial at Maple Hill Cemetery between 2 and 4 p m Friday. She is survived by husband Walter and siblings Don Roberson and Gist Roberson. two brothers preceded her in death.

A six week bicentennial wagon train travels by barge from Omaha to Valley Forge. It stops at Cave-In-Rock on Thursday May 20 for demonstration and entertainment. Separate suits allege he took $1.3 million from a Rockford woman, wiring funds to Arizona Colorado and Nevada banks for dummy investments. Stout, about 60, lives with his wife in an Evanston Quaker home. ordained 1945, retired 1965. Also, High School Citizens Advisory Committee votes to reorganize this summer to curb District 201 employee numbers, boost citizen and student involvement, and add regional representation. In Centralia Illinois police ended five months of informational picketing at City Hall in a union dispute led by Teamsters ae 50 organizer Clement Nitka. 74 year old Mt Vernon man hit by car in Casey Avenue
Curran Jones 74 of 329 S. 4th St. was struck in the 300 block of Casey Avenue around 1 p.m. Authorities say he was treated and released at Modert Clinic after reporting he had been talking with a driver when a second car struck him. He did not see the approaching vehicle.
