Delbert Smith Route 1 Mt Vernon dies at 7 35 am in Jefferson Memorial Hospital after a two month hospitalization. He was 59 years nine months two days old. A trucker and former shoe factory worker, he married Viola Baldridge in Mt Vernon on February 28 1992. He is survived by his wife, his mother Eva Smith, two sons Roy Seibert Smith and Donald M. Smith, a daughter Eva Mac Dare, two brothers Wayman and Roy, three sisters Charlies Allen Orland James and Paul Hughey, and eight grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at 2 00 pm at Myers Chapel with burial in Memorial Gardens. viewing after 2 00 pm Wednesday. Born August 10 1898 in Jefferson county, he was a lifelong resident. He belonged to the Christian church.
