Badgett and leaves a daughter Bernadine McBride four grandchildren four great grandchildren and four sisters Edna Stephen Aline Reynolds Ruby Hawkins and Pearl Gibson. Burial at Oakwood after funeral services Tuesday at 1 30 p.m. with Rev. Ross Partridge officiating. Survivors include her husband Paul of Ormond Beach.

Jail Two Youths In Attempted Theft At Hotel Emmerson
Two 17 year old Mt Vernon youths were arrested after attempting to steal an air conditioner from Hotel Emmerson on the hotel’s fifth floor. Detectives Bravard and Massey led the arrests. The youths allegedly tried to haul the unit down a fire escape but dropped it to the ground. A passerby found the damaged air conditioner in the alley east of the hotel shortly before 2 am Friday.

Mark Pierce a Webber Township High School senior won the 1975 Wayne-White Electric Cooperative Essay Contest and spent May 7 in Springfield as part of the 1975 Youth Tour. He was among 11 Wayne-White contestants and 150 students from 13 cooperatives statewide. Pierce attends Mt. Vernon High School Area Vocational Center and is one of five state winners in electricity with honors from FFA and the Illinois Farm Electrification Council.
