Deaths John L Laird of Marlow dies at 75
John Lewis Laird of Marlow died at 4 30 p m yesterday at the home of his daughter Mrs Harold Dobbs in Central City. He was 75 years 11 months 18 days. Funeral services will be at 3 00 p m tomorrow at Queen Boggs Chapel Centralia with Rev Cecil Martin officiating. Burial in Cruse cemetery east of Patoka. He lies in state at Queen Boggs Funeral Home after 6 00 p m today. He was born May 20 1884 in Bluford to Alan and Elva Woods Laird. He married Clara Johnston who died in 1926. Survivors include daughter Mrs Harold O Dobbs of Central City, two sisters Mrs Mertie Cummins of DuBois PA and Mrs Opal Kissner of Wayne City, and four grandchildren. He was a member of the Dix Christian church.
