Georgia Lee Bivins, 42, is sentenced to 30 to 90 years after conviction for murder and conspiracy in the February 24 1974 killing of her husband Paul Bivins. Judge Frank B Machala imposed the term. her son testified under immunity amid alleged pre shooting plotting with two men.

Los Angeles AP John Ehrlichman says Nixons Watergate recap to David Frost is a rationalization that will be tested and found false. Ehrlichman writes in New West and New York magazines that Nixon was overcome with self pity when he fired him and offered a huge sum of money which Ehrlichman declined. Kay Puckett Wins $50 In Downtown King City Draw

Kay Puckett of Route was the winner last night of $50 in the Downtown King City Retailers first weekly drawing on the east side of the square. About 100 people attended in damp weather. she was not present, but won $50 instead of half the pot. Merchants added $200 to the pot for next week’s drawing for half of $350 for those present.

Agnes Nelson 83 of 25th Street died at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born July 24, 1893 in Jefferson County she married Fred Lee Nelson in Mt. Vernon October 15, 1920. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Monday Myers-Bari Chapel officiated by J Howard Arene. Survived by son Paul W. Nelson and daughters Guelda Lee Duncan Mary Mayo, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Alfred Perrine 76 of Lesser died Friday evening at Franklin Hospital Benton. Born December 27, 1900, married to Chloe Schroeder in 1921. Burial Maple Hill Cemetery Bear Point Church. Brandon Oldham 72 of Route 1 Johnsonville died Thursday at home. Born February 4, 1905 in Fordsville Kentucky he married Elizabeth Carter in 1932.
