Korea Veteran Dies in Perrin Jet Crash
Lt. Edward C. Hotz of Belleville, Illinois, a Korea veteran and Perrin Air Force Base instructor since January, was killed Tuesday when an F-86 Sabre crashed during takeoff near Sherman. He served in Korea from 1951 to 1952 and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross. He married Barbara Jean in Sherman, and they have a son Edward.
