Funeral services for Eugene Scrivner, 56, a former Mt. Vernon resident, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Myers Chapel. The Rev. Bird Green will officiate with burial in Mateer cemetery. The body lies in state at Myers Chapel after 4:00 p.m. today. He was fatally injured when struck by a car in St. Louis Wednesday night.

A Franklin county resident 72 years, he was survived by wife Mary Rentwhler and children including Leonard Flach of Decatur, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and siblings. Funeral services with Odd Fellows rites will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Whittington Baptist Church, Rev. Edgar Cole officiating. burial in Shi-Joh Cemetery. The body will lie in state after removal from Inn Funeral Home to the family residence today at 4 p.m.
