Pedestrian injured as five accidents erupt on Mt. Vernon streets
A pedestrian, Mrs. Stanley Brandt, 59, of 9411 Perkins Avenue, was injured at 11 10 a.m. when a panel truck struck her at Tenth and Conger. Investigating officers reported head and back injuries. Four other crashes occurred Saturday with minor injuries and citations issued. One driver, L. D. Parmenter, was fined $6.40 for a stop sign violation. A youth, Gerry Pigg, 18, faced charges for failure to yield and license issues. An Evelyn Miller swerved to avoid a collision and struck a fence on South Tenth Street.
