Kell school annual basketball banquet and local notices

Kell grade school held its annual basketball banquet with a potluck served by mothers and awards given by teachers to David Rollinson and Randy Rollinson. Community notices include a nursery shower May 8 at 7 30 p m for Mrs Maxine Hickey, and several visits among local families in Mt Vernon and Kell. One death reported Frank Tucker of Salem. Twenty one killed and 108 injured when a night train jumped its track in West Java last Thursday.

Illinois cigarette sales rose 4.7 percent in March 1965 from March 1964, the state director of revenue said. Harry L. Hulman noted the gain follows January and February declines and cited total March sales of 2,536,341,000 cigarettes, 115,315,000 more than March 1964.

Blast Rip Ship At Dock In Saigon Harbor
