Aden farmer Boyd Kingston dies at 72 in Mt W Memorial
Boyd Kingston 72 died at 6 a m today at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer who lived in Aden until three weeks ago when he moved to Orchard. He belonged to Ellis Mound Baptist church. Funeral services Friday at 2 p m in Aden conducted by Rev Lute Clark. Burial in Olive Branch cemetery. Body lies in state at Combs Chapel Wayne City. Survived by one daughter Mrs Vern Dagg of Orchardville and eight grandchildren.

Women Plan Fight on Polio at Meet Here
Polio chapters in southern Illinois were urged to keep working to prevent an infantile paralysis epidemic. The fourth annual conference of The National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, Inc. drew women representatives from Polio Boards across southern Illinois to Hotel Emmerson. Graham and Bart Cole explained polio symptoms, nerve damage, and need for follow up care. Genevieve Drennan of Springfield outlined state aid for school facilities and other polio board supports. Local organizers included Mrs C. C. Kane and Andy Glosecki. A new self-sealing puncture-proof tire tube using butyl rubber was noted. Robert Tatum, 25, of Bonnie, was arrested by Deputy Bud Yearwood yesterday on forgery and bad check charges. He appeared before Magistrate A. M.
